The Lay Institute on Technology Incorporated was conceived and founded by Ms. Dorothy Lay of Dallas, Texas. It was established as a Texas nonprofit corporation and has filed with the United States Internal Revenue Service for recognition as a Private Foundation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Purposes. The purposes of the Corporation are to research, explore, study and educate the public, by publication and by public forums.
